Hey guys, hope you are all well, and well fed.

Just recently, I had a go at drawing using our Surface Pro for the very first time. :0

We've had the thing for well over a year now, it's a bit silly that it took me so long to give it a try, but it's working out really well!

I still use Firealpaca to do my drawing, but it's quite a different experience drawing directly onto a screen.

Probably the best thing about drawing on a tablet is the ability to sit comfy & warm in bed while drawing.

It took a week of solid drawing to get used to the differences, but I think I'm almost as comfortable using the tablet as I am using my Wacom, which I'm pretty happy about.

All this has resulted in me drawing much more, maybe even too much... I need to make sure I get enough exercise, and take care of other (less fun)day to day tasks.

If I could draw as a full time job, from home, I think that would suit me very well!

Hi everyone,

I've been going through some challenging times, I hurt my back somehow, and it's really painful to do anything. -_-
Getting dressed is difficult, going to the bathroom, even sitting at my computer hurts.
I hope it will pass soon, I've been quite immobile for almost a whole week now!

On the flip side, we will be adopting a cat soon!
We named him Merlin lava-wizard kitty-cat.

How we met Merlin was chance, or maybe fate~
About a month ago we were walking home from the train station after a night in the city.
It was really late, almost 1am, it was really cold, and drizzling with rain, we were rugged up and speed-walking to get back home quickly.
Suddenly on the path ahead we see a small grey and white cat, it's right near a main road, all alone in the rain.
As we approach, the kitty spots us and comes running to greet us, he seems so grateful that someone showed up.
He circled, and purred and hid under us from the rain, he even started climbing up into my lap, it was clear he needed some help.
I scooped him up, and we took him home for the night to keep him safe until morning.
The next day we went door-knocking where we had found him, but oddly, not one person answered their door... :/
We decided to take him to a local shelter. He was not de-sexed, and had no microchip, so the shelter held him to see if the owner would come forward.
I have called several times to check on him, he had a slight cold, and mild conjunctivitis, but otherwise he was in good health.
He is much better now, and about to get de-sexed, and after that we are adopting him! :D
Merlin is such a sweet boy that I couldn't let him go, I kept thinking of how we met, and how kind-natured he is.
So in a week or two we will have another fluffy family member on board. : )
We're actually not allowed to have a cat with the people we live with, but we want to move out anyway, so we're working on that.

Here are some (low quality) pictures of Merlin -

Isn't he adorable~

More recently when I was walking the dogs, I noticed the house right near where we found Merlin was for lease,
so I suspect the people who owned him had to move, and left him behind, which sadly happens a lot in this area.

Thankfully, other than my back, I am healthy.
I hope everyone is keeping safe with the covid-19 virus spreading.

Let me know what's been going on with you~

Right here, in your heart, messing around in them blood corridors...

Alright, actually I've been quite busy (& ever so slightly slightly stressed) working with a new Indie game dev team as an artist/animator.
I'm having a great time, & everyone on the team is suuuper great.

I've actually been drawing HEAPS more than usual, but of course I can't share the content anywhere online for obvious reasons.

While all that is certainly keeping me cray busy, I will forever love dA, & I will never stay away for too long mmkay.
I love you guys.

Now that I have a bit of a work rhythm going, I hope I will have a little extra time for personal stuff, I really miss digi painting! :'0

I will share details about the game when I can.
Stay happy everyone~

I'm setting up a new online store!
I'm pretty excited about it, and I'm in the process of uploading designs, which takes a bit of time, so bear with me...

Bookmark the page and check back frequently for new designs, or follow my store if you have a Threadless account!

If you like what you see totally share it around, every sale helps towards my dream of feeding myself via art.

Thanks so much everyone~

It's springtime now, and after spending so many hours sitting at the computer during the cold months of winter I just really needed some time outside away from my beautiful PC.
I've been volunteering at a local organic farm, doing loads of work on my own veggie garden, and looking for part-time work - I'm waiting to hear if I got a job as a bike postie (wish me luck Clover).
Here's a small harvest of cabbage & leafy green veg from the garden, I had a very green dinner that night. c:

There's also lots of great events in spring, including one of the best days of the whole year WORLD VEGAN DAY! An amazing event where a vegan celiac can discover & eat so many incredible foods, including donuts! Until last weekend I hadn't eaten a donut in over 10 years 0_0, it was amazing, & I almost cried. Here's a pic of some of my WVD loot -

AMAZING.

For anyone that may be interested I run a Vegan Gluten-free food group on Facebook, here's a link if you'd like to join > VGF FOOD IDEAS aaaaand I share recipes on my SleepyVoodleBlog, so check those out if you like!

I have also recently made friends with a bird. She (or He) almost flew right into my face one morning, so I gave her some apple & seeds, and since then we're buddies. rvmp She's a very young Crimson Rosella, she hasn't even grown her juvenile feathers yet, she still has baby fluff, here are a couple of pics -

Thankfully she is much better at flying now, she's very friendly, and several people in the neighborhood know her.
We've set up our bedroom so she can come & go as she likes; the window is always open, & she has access to seed & fruit. Smile

That's mostly how I've been spending my time away from dA, but I always come back!

How are you?
Tell me things you have been up to!

Much love everyone~ In Love
